Match Up: The Patriots continued their historic run with a messy win over the Chargers. The Giants, on the other hand, ultimately prevailed over the Packers in a chilly overtime showdown at Green Bay. Both teams have a lot to prove; with the Patriots, the motivation is to put a stamp on NFL history, while the Giants look to overcome a litany of recent postseason failures. The 2007 New England Patriots are one game and one victory from the kind of perfection that no team, including those undefeated 1972 Dolphins has ever experienced.

The Patriots (18-0) are favored by 13.5 points against the New York Giants (13-6). In the final game of the regular season, Eli Manning, the Giants' much-maligned quarterback, had a breakout performance that provided momentum that carried into the postseason. He had four touchdowns while throwing only one interception. Manning has not been intercepted since and the Giants are on a ridiculous run of 10 straight road wins.

The grouchy Patriots Coach Bill Belichick and the stud Quarterback Tom Brady aim for a fourth championship ring. Last year Peyton Manning won his first Superbowl and this year his little brother Eli will try for his first. The recently mellowed Giants Coach Tom Coughlin will try for his first Superbowl win, as well.
